Dovresti davvero cercare di proteggere i tuoi dati pubblicati e solo la pulizia generale del codice. È meglio utilizzare direttamente le funzioni fornite da mysql, invece di racchiuderle in funzioni utilizzabili solo per una situazione.
E:perché diavolo stai costruendo ogni volta la tua intera tabella delle informazioni sui dipendenti, o almeno stai controllando se esiste? Questo dovrebbe essere qualcosa che fai una volta e di cui dimentichi. Quindi elimina quel codice, perché crea confusione.
Dovresti pensare a come tutto questo dovrebbe logicamente funzionare prima di immergerti. Questo è fondamentalmente un sistema di gestione dei dipendenti? Anche in questo caso è ancora di base e questo genere di cose dovrebbe essere implementato in una classe php. Questo sta usando PDO, quindi se i dettagli del tuo db cambiano, devi solo modificare dbfactory.php e il gioco è fatto.
Se potessi tornare indietro e cambiare una cosa sull'iniziare a imparare PHP, sarebbe imparare PDO invece delle funzioni di query mysql deprecate come stai usando.
Questa non è affatto un'implementazione perfetta, come ho detto, dovrebbe essere tutto classificato e la logica separata dalla presentazione; ma è un inizio!
