Ho avuto questo dn24 RegionServer contrassegnato come morto in HBaseUI ma questa macchina è stata ritirata e rimossa dal cluster mesi fa.
Dopo alcuni scavi, sembra che si trovi qui perché era ancora considerato "attivo" da HBase e il motivo per cui era stato trovato in HDFS :

Trovato ? Il WAL (Registro di scrittura anticipata ) era ancora in HDFS nello stato "splitting", quindi dal punto di vista HBase non è morto.
Ho rimosso la directory WAL dn24 in HDFS, riavviato HBaseMaster (nessun tempo di inattività su HBase al riavvio di HBaseMaster), è andato via.
