Un'istruzione join viene utilizzata per eseguire query sui dati in più tabelle correlate.
Ora che abbiamo creato una relazione tra due tabelle, ora possiamo utilizzare entrambe le tabelle all'interno di un singolo SELECT dichiarazione per restituire i dati correlati. Possiamo farlo usando un JOIN dichiarazione.
Esamineremo le nostre tabelle utilizzando i tre principali tipi di join:

L'unione interiore
Un inner join è un join in cui i valori nelle colonne da unire vengono confrontati utilizzando un operatore di confronto. Nello standard SQL, gli inner join possono essere specificati in FROM o WHERE clausola.
Ad esempio, potremmo eseguire una query per recuperare un elenco di tutti gli artisti e i loro album:

Un outer join restituisce tutte le righe da almeno una delle tabelle o viste menzionate in FROM clausola, purché tali righe soddisfino qualsiasi WHERE o HAVING condizioni di ricerca.
Con un sinistra join esterno, tutte le righe vengono recuperate dalla tabella di sinistra a cui si fa riferimento.
Quindi, nell'esempio seguente, tutte le righe di Artisti vengono restituite, indipendentemente dal fatto che sia presente un record correlato negli Album tabella.

Un cross join (che non ha un WHERE clausola) risulta nel prodotto cartesiano delle tabelle coinvolte nel join. Pertanto, la dimensione del set di risultati è il numero di righe nella prima tabella moltiplicato per il numero di righe nella seconda tabella.
Fai attenzione con la giuntura incrociata. Può restituire set di risultati estremamente grandi!
